Fun Brain

Fun Brain - learn how to exercise your brain and have fun. A fun brain is focused, helps improve memory and learning.

Human beings love to laugh, and the average adult laughs 17 times a day which might seem natural, but the funny thing is that we are one of the only species that laughs. Laughter is actually a complex response that involves many of the same skills used in solving problems.

Laughter is a great thing -- that's why we've all heard the saying, "Laughter is the best medicine." There is strong evidence that laughter can actually improve health and help fight disease. We need to know that our brains can make us healthier and happier through laughter. You'll also learn that there's a tremendous amount that no one understands yet.

Emotional responses appear to be confined to specific areas of the brain, while laughter seems to be produced in many regions of the brain. (This means that damage to any of these regions can impair one's sense of humor and response to humor, experts say.)

Laughter helps those coping with major illness and the stress of life's problems.

Current research now shows that laughter balances all the components of the immune system, which helps us fight off diseases.
;reduces levels of certain stress hormones, anger or hostility, which suppress the immune system.

It is estimated that laughing 100 times is equal to 10 minutes on the rowing machine or 15 minutes on an exercise bike.
Laughing can be a total body workout! Try it! Often. Find reasons to laugh and engage in real belly laughter. Laugh out loud, laugh silently, but laugh (caveat, better to laugh at yourself and not at somebody's expense).
